Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) 2009

​

 ‘Small Wonders, Big World’

The theme of my section was ‘Discovery’ with colours blue and yellow. I worked with 5 other artists’ and around 52 community groups who took part to produce carnival costumes and props which they processed  through the streets of Stockton. It rained again this year but that never seems to deter people!

FYT Percy Headley Dance Drama Art Project 2009

​

A collaboration with break dancer Paul Allen and theatre director Annie Rigby working with a group of autistic children over one week to journey on a creative adventure inspired by the story of Don Quixote and other brave-hearted souls. The activities were planned but open to new directions each day according to the children’s suggestions and preferences. There was a final performance and procession of dance, drama, costume and props made during the week.

Billingham Campus Carnival Performance Project 2008

‘Over the Rainbow’ – Outdoor event created, produced and performed by Yr 10 pupils and selected staff.

Partners: Billingham Campus Secondary School, Stockton Borough Council,  Creative Partnerships TV, collaborative artist Gordon Sharp.

‘Sowing the Seeds of Innovation’ – I worked as part of a team of 4 artists designing and making costume and props with community groups across Stockton for the carnival parade.

Darlington Community Carnival 2006

​

A small community carnival: I worked with 12 local groups making art work based around the theme of environment.
